Your challenge:

Are you ready to help produce the world's most advanced mobile data capture systems for the emergency services and healthcare markets?

Your role:

We are looking for a talented and driven graduate to join Airwave’s Application Services team developing cutting edge applications for the emergency services and healthcare markets.

You will responsible for writing Java, XSLT and using our in-house tools to produce cutting edge mobile applications. You don’t need any previous experience other than a strong degree as you’ll be trained by experienced staff throughout the role and work alongside our highly skilled team.

While a large part of the Application Developer role is development work, you will have the ability to work across the full life cycle of a project, including requirements capture, design, implementation and testing. After you have a few years of experience under your belt in the Application Developer role, there are opportunities to progress into Core Developer or Business Analyst and Project Management roles depending on your preference and abilities.

About you:

Application Services offer full training and support, so new graduates are encouraged to apply. You will require:

-A strong academic background with a minimum of a 2:1 degree in either BSc Computing Science or BSc Software Engineering (other subjects may be considered)

-Some experience with Java, and good programming skills

-Excellent written and verbal communication skills

The role involves occasional customer site visits, so you should be willing to undertake some travel as required - usually accompanied by a more experienced member of the team.

Salary and benefits:

-£20,000 - £23,000 per annum (with annual pay review)

-25 days annual leave | Pension| Discretionary bonus

The successful candidate will need to undergo UK security vetting for this position. This will involve:

- Completion of a security clearance questionnaire by the candidate

- A credit reference check;

- If considered necessary, checks against the criminal and security records of relevant foreign countries.
