ESC Systems Administrator

To provide onsite senior server support at Hook to a high availability infrastructure for the client within a secure environment. This is a highly customer facing role as the candidate will be required to liaise with teams and different organizations within the government agency. The candidate will be responsible for reacting to and resolving incidents, implementing change and completing administrative housekeeping duties on the system.

* Provision and support of active server equipment including but not limited to Windows Server 2008/2012 Exchange 2007, 2013 SharePoint 2007,2013 VMware (ESX3.5) MailMarshall SMTP, SQL 2K5/8

* Produce and maintain support documentation

* Assisting project teams

* Proactive support, utilising all available management tools to predict impending incidents and apply preventative action.

* Identifying capacity/availability issues and potential points of failure/weaknesses and assist engineering teams with appropriate solutions

* Provide server software/hardware expertise to any ad-hoc critical incident team as required by the Technical Support Manager.

* Provide mentoring and training for junior team members.

Hands-on experience of Microsoft Server based systems incorporating.

Active Directory, DHCP, DNS, Group Policy Management, Print Management, WSUS, on the following:

* Microsoft Server 2008/ 2012

* Microsoft Exchange Server 2007, 2013

* Microsoft SharePoint 2007, 2013

* Microsoft Hyper-V 2012

* Microsoft Failover Clustering

* Microsoft PKI Certificate Services

* Microsoft System Centre:

* Virtual Machine manager (VMM)

* Operations Manager(SCOM)

* Configuration Manager(SCCM)

* Endpoint Protection(SCEP)

* VMware ESXi and Virtual Centre

* Mail Marshall SMTP Gateway

* ArcServe 16.5

* McAffee EPO 5.1

* CA Enterprise Log Manager (ELM,UARM)

* CA Spectrum Monitoring

Outstanding customer service skills

* Ability to understand contractual implications and communicate these effectively to

* management chain

* Excellent verbal communication

* Strong interpersonal skills - must be able to interact with personnel in multiple business roles

* Excellent Technical Problem solving and analytical skills

* Ability to prioritize workload and complete tasks within agreed SLA's, KPI's
