SC Cleared Automation Tester (ISTQB/ISEB, QTP/UFT, ALM/QC) to be based in Glasgow on an initial 6 Month contract.

Job Title - SC Cleared Automation Tester

Location - Glasgow

Duration - 6 Months initial

Mandatory Prerequisites:

* 3-5 years Testing experience over a wide variety of technologies

* 2-3 years HP ALM/QC Utilisation and Administration

* 2-3 years Quick Test Professional 10/Unified Functional Tester 11

* ISTQB Advanced Certification

Desirable Prerequisites:

* ISTQB Expert Test Automation Certification

* HP ALM/QC Utilisation and Administration (HP course HP0-M46)

* Quick Test Professional 11 ( HP course HP0-M47)

* Working knowledge of Oracle (Specifically Ebv12 CRM, OPA and Payroll)

* Working knowledge of C#

* Working knowledge of Visual Basic

* Working knowledge of Microsoft Platforms

* An understanding of web technologies such as HTML, JavaScript, JSP, ASP, .Net, etc.

* Experience of Testing Maturity Model Integration (TMMi)

* Prior experience of working in a Defence Environment

Role Specification:

* Complies with the Test policy and departmental procedures.

* Design Test Cases that verify the requirements of the solution

* Writes Test Scripts for Specilisation.

* Ability to execute generic Test Scripts

* Peer reviews Test Cases and Scripts in line with department standards and procedures.

* Under Project Test Managers/Project Test Leads guidance is responsible for ensuring the delivery of testing services by the testing team for medium to large projects, medium to large complexity,.

* Reports on testing activities.

* Ensures compliance to client standard project management methods, processes and tools.

* Creates analyses and communicates project deliverables.

* Secures appropriate approvals.

* Actively Participates in project status review meetings.

* Assist the project team in translating requirements into the Test Plan and executing the plan to achieve project testing objectives.

* Participates actively in organisational testing capability, development activities and initiatives.

* Supports knowledge management and collaboration through participation in testing discussions, communities and improving testing collateral through lessons learned.

* Mentors Test Analyst and Junior Test Analyst.

* Any other reasonable duties commensurate with the role
