My client a world leader in their chosen market sector are looking to recruit a DV cleared Solutions Architect on a 12 month contract on site in the South West.

The successful candidate will be responsible for the identification of and design of technology solutions, ensuring that they are aligned to the business need, and in line with industry best practice, current technology and the CIO strategy.

Key Responsibilities:

* Assuring that the selection, deployment and operations of IT services represent best value for money in delivering process improvement and cost reductions

* Ensure the IT applications, platforms and system deliver process improvement and cost reductions

* Take full responsibility for ensuring that systems and application architectures balance functional, service quality and systems management requirements as indicated by the business requirement

* Take responsibility for overall solution design

* Provide subject matter expertise to translate system requirements into designs.

* Contributes to the development and maintenance of design principles and standards.

Essential Skills:

* Expert in operating infrastructure with knowledge of Information and Communications Technology infrastructure (hardware, databases, operating systems, local area networks etc)

* Expert in computing and Information Systems/Information Technology trends and technologies

* Possesses a high level of technical expertise.

* Expert in design methodologies

* Demonstrates an understanding of strategic issues

* Extensive knowledge of the complete IT solution cycle from conception to de-commissioning.
