My client urgently requires an experienced Programme Manager with transport experience.

The purpose of this role is to provide project management capability within the Portfolio of programmes & projects, including but limited to the following specific responsibilities:

conceiving, maintaining and communicating

> The identification, planning and coordination of a set of related projects within a programme of business change, to manage their interdependencies in support of specific business strategies and objectives.

> The maintenance of a strategic view over the set of projects, providing the framework for implementing business initiatives, or large-scale change, by a vision of the outcome of the programme. (The vision, and the means of achieving it, may change as the programme progresses).

> Agreement of business requirements, and translation of requirements into operational plans. Determination, monitoring, and review of programme costs, operational budgets, staffing requirements, programme resources, inter-dependencies and programme risk.

Experience required:

> 5 years of demonstrable project and or programme manager experience or equivalent in the transport sector

> Demonstrable track record in delivering andor managing programmes using their own experience and recognised programme management methodologies, such as MSP andor P30 (including PRINCE2).

> Understanding of Service Management specifically aligned to ITIL.

> Experience in working in a flexibly resourced people environment, able to deal with multiple teams and a possible complex mix of internal and external resource dependencies.
