Developer / 3 months / Erskine / IT Outsourcing

Our client, a leading IT Outsourcing Provider, is recruiting for a Software Developer for an initial for an initial 3 month contract based in Erskine.

The successful candidate will have the following skills and experience:

* Linux/Unix Operating systems (Redhat, Debian, Suse)

* Plan and install SQL Server.

* Plan and manage indexes to optimize performance

* Design a logical schema for a database based on application requirements

* Plan and implement a high availability solution

* Explain the concept of the transaction log and SQL Server recovery models and implement different backup strategies available with SQL Server.

* Create SQL Server Backups.

* Restore SQL Server databases.

* Work with SQL Server security models, logins and users.

* Work with permissions and the assignment of permissions.

* HTTP servers (Apache /Lighttpd /nginx)

* Understanding HTTP Protocol

* Managing the Web Server

* Providing daily support for customer needs and service issues to maintain middleware infrastructure

* SSL Certificate Implementation & Renewal

* Working knowledge of Open SSL

* Active Directory

* Describe the features and functionality of Active Directory Domain Services.

* Manage users and service accounts; groups; computer accounts.

* Implement a Group Policy infrastructure.

* Manage enterprise security and configuration by using Group Policy settings.

* Understanding sites and Active Directory Replication.

* Manage multiple domains and forests.

* Design and implement an AD DS forest and domain infrastructure.

* Design and implement an AD DS organizational unit (OU) infrastructure.

* Kerberos

* Lightweight Directory Access Protocol

* Monitoring Solutions: HP Automation Bus, HP OVO solutions, Nagios, Cacti, Munin etc.

* Installing, configuring and updating Web and Caching servers

* Administrating working environment - control commands, log analysis, maintenance tasks

* Configuring and implementing HA and Load balancing

* Understanding PKI and SSL concepts

* Troubleshooting Security configuration issues (SSL)

* Common:

* Working knowledge of network design, including network security.

* Understanding Local Area Networking

* Describe the devices and services used to support communications in data networks and the Internet

* Defining Networks with the OSI Model

* Describe the role of protocol layers in data networks

* Understanding proxy and firewall serves

* Network load balancing

* Understanding Internet Protocol

* Configure and troubleshoot DHCP and DNS operations for IPv4 and IPv6

* Describe the importance of addressing and naming schemes at various layers of data networks in IPv4 and IPv6 environments
