Test Analyst (Edinburgh/Glasgow)

My Client requires a Test Analyst for and immediate start.

The day rate on offer is £275

*Please advise if you have a Disclosure Scotland, if not then please confirm you are happy to start the process*

Essentials:

*Educated to degree level or equivalent relevant experience

*Testing experience in a structured test environment of web applications including aspects such as multi-browser, accessibility, regression and usability testing

*Experience of using mind maps to list areas of product and capture test ideas

*Proficiency in software testing techniques, testing tools, incident/defect tracking systems and other test-support tools.

*Experience working as part of an agile software delivery team

*Knowledge of .Net stack application development

*Strong working knowledge of SQL and experience with MS SQL Server databases

*Experience in investigating issues and gathering information to aid fault resolution

*Ability to design, execute and report on exploratory test sessions

*Automated testing tools such Selenium

*Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills

*A structured and methodical approach to testing activities

*Excellent communication skills including the ability to interact well with both technical and non-technical individuals and groups

*In-depth knowledge of current development/test approaches and techniques

*A passion for software testing and quality assurance and its role in delivering excellent software solutions

*Inquisitive in nature

*Drive for delivering value to the end user

*Be able to provide continuous feedback to support members of the development team

*Ability to focus on both detail and accuracy

*Ability to work effectively as part of a geographically-dispersed agile software delivery team

*Ability to contribute effectively to the grooming of user stories to ensure all requirements are captured appropriately and understood correctly by the project team

*Ability to work unsupervised and regularly work to tight deadlines under pressure
