The Role:

Bristol Students’ Union is a membership organisation democratically led by students and supported by a team of staff.

We have an ambitious new strategy which seeks to build students’ pride in their union while ensuring they are well represented, that they have opportunities to develop, and that they have a great social life while they are in Bristol.

Hours: 35 per week (full-time)

Salary: £21,012 - £23,654 per annum

The Bristol SU Marketing & Communications department is responsible for high quality communications of Bristol SU’s activities and campaigns to University of Bristol students, and other stakeholders.

The post holder will maintain and develop Bristol SU’s web presence to increase levels of audience engagement online. The post holder will implement the Bristol SU brand online and maintain in-house quality standards. They will lead on the online presence for our key campaigns, particularly on website development and SEO.

They will give day-to-day support to Bristol SU staff for online issues, and provide training and resources for students and staff to get the most from our web platforms. The post holder will maximise the organisation’s wider digital engagement using other online channels including e-communications and social media.

Key to this role is being able to identify new opportunities for engagement whilst managing the day-to-day smooth running of the organisation’s online operation.
