A combined role working within both Accenture’s Centre for Innovation and wider client-facing Technology Consultancy. This opportunity will afford you the freedom to build on our guidelines, experiment with new technology and continuously iterative the Dev Ops approach for each project within the Centre.

You'll be part of a growing network of technical and delivery experts who design and implement the continuous delivery platforms used by Accenture to design and build IT systems for a broad range of clients across many industries.

Key responsibilities may include:

-Designing and implementing Continuous Integration and Delivery Pipelines

-Building solutions using DevOps tools such as Chef, Puppet, Jenkins

-Deploying and managing Software Configuration Management tools such as git, subversion and RTC.

-Environment support, technology architecture and infrastructure design activities within the project organisation

-Coaching projects on the principles of Continuous Delivery and DevOps

-Coaching and mentoring junior DevOps professionals

-Troubleshooting, diagnosing, and supporting application development

You should be able to demonstrate expertise in one or more of the following areas:

-Design and establishment of delivery pipelines to support the software development process

-Experience with the implementation of continuous integration practices and tooling to support automated build, delivery and regression test of software (software configuration management, continuous integration, continuous delivery, service virtualisation, automated testing), with a focus on software delivery quality improvement and/or development team productivity improvements.

-DevOps - contributing to collaborative and productive environments between software development and operations support teams

-Infrastructure e.g. SANs, Windows/Unix servers

-Public/Private cloud

-Experience of technical architecture - i.e. the design and delivery of IT systems for a broad range of clients using technologies such as

-Custom Development platforms e.g. Java/J2EE/Spring, .Net

-Packaged products e.g. Siebel, SAP, Oracle applications, (what else?)

-Integration platforms e.g. BizTalk, TIBCO, Oracle Fusion, WebSphere

-Cloud technologies e.g. IaaS, PaaS, SaaS, SalesForce.com

-Experience of managing teams and project management (dependant on grade) including progress monitoring and reporting

-Working within a structured environment, including the use of structured methods and approaches and modern development tools.
