Proteus Europe is searching for a Reacent Graduate Mechanical Design Engineer to join their team in Scotland for a permanent position.

Your New role :-

The role is key in mechanical design for motor drives and electronic systems and design on test rigs. As well as manufacturing generation and maintenance. The candidate is required to demonstrate the ability to deliver innovative solutions in:

Timely manufacturable packaging designs

Safe and hazard free test rig design including guards

The design of Motion Control Systems and Sub Systems for Defence (Airborne, Land, Naval, Subsea), Space, Down-hole Oil and Gas.

Applying the disciplines of:

Packaging of Electronic circuits, microprocessor (DSP, CPLD, FPGA) power, thermal simulation, FEA, MathCAD, testing of Motor Performance

Mechanical design, test equipment design, enclosure and packaging engineering

Engineering tests of products and sub contact work design.

Design for manufacture of electronic solutions and systems deployed in harsh environments

Participate in programmes and projects and dealing directly with clients as, including when required to support Business Development and Sales.

Participate in PDR, CDR, PRDR, MRR, QUAL, CDRL, First Article Inspection, FCA and PCA Audits, RCRM customer meeting and Presentation of MTFB, FMEA, FEA, EMC, HALT, HASS etc.

Provide advice and proposals on new products and research and development, new controls and company engineering procedures, to ensure company success.

Supplier and subcontractor liaison

Your Skills and experience :-

Role Purpose

- Mechanical design for motor drives and electronics systems

- Design of test rigs

- Bill of material generation and maintenance

- Manufacturing drawing generation and maintenance

- Incorporation of ECO/ECRs into Packaging, Drawings and BOMs
