Proteus Europe is searching for a Firmware Engineer to join a client in Scotland on a Permanent position.

Your New role :-

The company are recruiting for a Firmware Engineer to assist in the development of our high performance electronic motion control systems for the next generation of harsh environment systems to be released to the market. The success candidate will be based at the company- s Nova House site in Forres and work within a multi-disciplinary project team, reporting to the Engineering Manager. Role Purpose

- Development of real-time control firmware for motor controllers and control systems

- Participate with full lifecycle product development

- Participate in the integration of hardware and software

- Participate in system level integration at control system level

- Architect, design and develop robust embedded firmware

- Invent and create new technologies and solutions

- Work within the multi-disciplinary project team to achieve project schedules

- Participate in the continual development of the company- s systems, processes and organization to support the development of the business (as relevant to Engineering)

Your Skills and experience :-

Essential Skills :-

- Strong skills in C programming

- Experience in embedded firmware

- Experience in CAN and CANopen development

- Experience in Brushless (BLDC) motors

- Knowledge of Interrupt Driven Software, digital signal processing and digital control

- Experience in testing associated with bringing embedded control products to market

- Proficiency in bare metal programming

- Ability to prioritise

- Relevant technical qualifications

Desirable Skills :-

- Experience in power electronics control

- Experience in TI processors

- Knowledge of real-time operating systems

- Proficiency with Code Composer or Eclipse IDE
