Bring your in-depth experience of managing multiple, complex projects to Family Fund, the leading organisation supporting severely disabled children.

12 month contract

The Family Fund is one of the UK’s largest grant-giving charities. For forty years, we have provided grant-making services on behalf of the four UK governments to many of the most vulnerable families raising severely disabled children, distributing around £33m in grants every year. Whilst the Family Fund is a registered charity, our wholly-owned subsidiary trading arm, Family Fund Trading (FFT), operates very much in a corporate business environment.

As Group Project Manager, your overarching responsibility will be to develop the project management framework and processes and manage all projects and change initiatives, from tactical/small-scale to strategic/large scale, to deliver the Group’s change agenda. Reporting to our Group Change Manager, you’ll ensure a fit-for-purpose approach to each project, from approval and prioritisation, including development of the mandate or PID, through to delivery and implementation. Defining project scope, goals and deliverables in collaboration with sponsors and stakeholders, as Group Project Manager you’ll also:

- estimate the necessary resources and participants

- draft and submit budget proposals

- ensure change control procedure is in place

- build, develop and grow any business relationships vital to the success of the project.

Educated to degree level or with equivalent professional experience, and ideally qualified to Prince 2 or similar, you have a proven track record in project delivery, underpinned by a detailed grasp of project management methodologies. Your strong experience in delivering projects with IT software and outsourced administration complement your knowledge and experience of resource planning, managing interdependencies and pro-actively managing the delivery of multiple and complex projects. Comfortable managing cross-functional relationships and budgets, you’re highly IT-literate, especially in MS Office. With excellent all-round communication, leadership and senior stakeholder management skills, as Group Project Manager you can also bring:

- real customer focus

- the ability to work both independently and collaboratively

- creative problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
