Enigma is seeking a graduate/junior electronic engineering professional to join our client’s expanding systems engineering team in Edinburgh.

This position will involve analysis and evaluation of new products with progression to assistance with new product definition and customer support with the opportunity for some global travel.

The system engineering group is directly involved with products from concept, through development to product launch and continues with lifetime customer support.

The successful candidate will initially be guided by senior engineers but will be expected to provide individual, original input to the development process as experience is gained. This is a unique opportunity to gain wide technical experience in power integrated circuits and automotive systems with appreciation of commercial aspects.

The successful candidate will support the corporate sales growth objectives by:

· Performing analysis of new product performance.

· Providing in-depth, technical analysis reports of new products.

· Analysing customer issues and influencing technical/engineering decisions, including future product development decisions

· Supporting ongoing business

Candidates should be graduates with some knowledge and experience in a similar field. They should possess a good grounding in, and understanding of fundamental analog and digital circuit design and analysis. Any knowledge and experience in the following areas would be a distinct advantage:

· Application of power integrated circuits

· Motor control techniques

· Automotive systems and requirements

· IC design, fabrication and quality systems

· Embedded C++ programming

Candidates should also be able to demonstrate:

· Good presentation skills in English and the ability to present technical information in a clear and concise manner.

· A high level of commitment and self-motivation

· The ability to work as part of a world-wide development team with diverse engineering disciplines.
