Senior RPG Analyst Developer

Location: Glasgow, UK

Duration: 6 Months

Our client is currently seeking a Senior RPG Analyst Developer for an exciting role based in Glasgow for an initial 6 month contract. The successful candidate will be Proficient in RPG IV and have strong analytical skill.

Role Summary:

Looking for a seasoned iSeries developer with a high proficiency in RPG4 and also a solid foundation of the full Software development life cycle. Strong Experience in below areas

* A solid foundation of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)

* Proficient in RPG IV, CL, Query, SQL and DB2 design.

* Strong analytical and investigation skills

* Solid understanding of change management

Key Responsibilities:

* Part of a development team which supports and maintains the in-house Healthcare administration system

* Involved in all aspects of the systems development life cycle from design through to development, system testing and support of implementation.

Job Requirements:

* iSeries developer with high Proficiency in RPG IV, CL, Query, SQL and DB2 design

Knowledge:

* Strong analytical and investigation skills

* Solid understanding of change management

Experience:

* A solid foundation of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)

* Experience in the following areas would prove beneficial:

* Aldon change management

* Transform / Create!form

* Free format RPG

* Journaling

* ProfoundUI

* RDP (Rational developer for Power)

* ITIL methodology

* Business/systems analysis

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related discipline
