We are looking for an experienced and enthusiastic individual to join us as Digital Learning Manager and drive the agenda for technology-based learning. You will be responsible for innovative approaches to capacity building involving distance learning through digital interfaces.

Working in more than 120 countries, we do whatever it takes to create breakthroughs in the way the world treats children. Our Humanitarian department integrates emergency and development work, through our country programmes. It increases our capacity to meet the assistance and protection needs of children and their families affected by crises. Together, we save children’s lives, fight for their rights and help them fulfil their potential.

As Digital Learning Manager you will provide leadership, direction and project management in the conception, design, development, deployment, maintenance and evaluation of technology-based learning solutions. You will also manage our learning technology service portfolio. In addition you will:

Develop metrics for measuring the success of technology-based learning programs ad propose changes based on the resultsTransforms learning by effectively applying present and emerging technologies to the development and implementation of programsStays ahead of new technology and effectively advocates for its useCollaboratively work with the HCB team to develop scalable solutions to improve overall performanceSupport the development of training standards and best practices

To be successful you will have a professional IT and/or project management and/or management qualification. You will also have experience of managing the provision and deployment of Learning Management Systems. In addition you will have:

A demonstrable track record of designing and delivering high quality and impactful learning content by electronic meansAwareness of mobile and responsive deisgn (e.g. HTML5 and Bootstrap)Demonstrated experience working within online learning standards SCORM, AICC, LTI and xAPIExperience with web-based content management and collaboration tools and experience with content creation tools (Adobe Technical Suite, Articulate Storyline preferred)Knowledge and experience of the humanitarian context and the challenges faced by regional/country staff or the means to procure this information.
