My Client, a market-leader within the Finance sector, are looking for an experienced Java Developer to work on exciting project currently taking place.

This organisation is looking for individuals with a passion for the Java/J2EE language and related technologies to join their office, based in Glasgow.

The exceptional candidate that is selected will be responsible for the development, testing and maintenance of both new Java applications and adjustments to existing Java applications.

The contract is for 3 months, paying £300 per day with the opportunity to be a part of the entire project lifecycle which has a current roadmap of 12 months.

As a Java Developer you will be responsible for:

*Responsible for Java Development of both new and existing applications

*Delivery of structured and maintainable software

*Liaising with other members of the Development team

The ideal candidate should have the following skills:

*8 years + Java development experience

*Strong skills on advance Core Java (Collections, Multithreading, Caching)

*Good SQL skills; must have experience in developing Stored Procedures, Query tuning

*Great communication skills (Both written and verbal)

*Experience in the Financial Sector is desirable
