Java Developer - Active SC Clearance required - 5 Months - Erskine - IT consulting
Our client, a leading IT consulting organisation is currently looking for a Java Developer to join their team based in Erskine for a duration of 5 months. Candidates will require an active SC clearance in order to be considered for the position.
The successful candidate will be a Java Developer with the ability to develop and implement changes to existing applications in response to RFCs/TFs from the customer following standard processes. Experience in working in both a project development and applications support environment with direct customer interaction and management is desirable.
Responsibilities:
* Team member software development on new and existing development projects
* Writing design and test specifications
* Error resolution
* Unit testing
* Task estimation
Essential Skills:
* Experience of the development tools used - namely C#, SQL Server (Java and Javascript/JQuery desirable)
* A self-motivated individual who can work either in a team, or individually with limited direction.
* Ability to articulate solutions for small changes and estimate effort for delivery.
* A good knowledge of software design, development and delivery processes
