This is an exciting opportunity to support key initiatives within the IS Directorate, working closely with the Highways team. The BA will then be required to put in place a plan for maximising the future benefits that can be achieved and ensure that there is clarity in how these will be achieved beyond March 2016. This may include some process design work and changes to operating practices that will need to be supported by the BA. They will also provide some business analysis support to future integration work with the client's public transport systems.

Role Profile

* Successfully lead major business change projects (value in excess of £4.0m) with a wide ranging impact across client

* Lead senior management and project teams to consensus on project scope to ensure a clear understanding of the areas of the business involved.

* Producing a clearly understood and documented set of current and future business requirements and functional specifications

* Present solutions to Directors and Senior Managers to ensure requirements are met and Departments are fully committed to the solution and the project to implement it

* Project Manage cross functional teams with external and internal resources to implement, business solutions defined above on time and within budget to meet departmental / directorate requirements

* Coordinate testing of new or changed solutions with IS Systems Tester, development teams and business representatives

* Work towards the development of a culture of continuous improvement whereby processes and solutions are continually analysed and improved

Keys Skills & Experience

The successful candidate will have significant demonstrable experience of working with teams to ensure that the benefits of technology projects are clearly understood and have a clear plan for delivery.

* They will have experience in developing business processes to support improved ways of working across multi-disciplinary teams with competing priorities.

* They will have experience of converting user requirements into technical specifications and interpreting technical terminology into a format suitable for wider understanding.

* They will also need an excellent understanding of computing fundamentals and a proven track record in business analysis and working with systems suppliers.

* Knowledge and experience of Highway and transport systems would be highly desirable but not essential.
