A Senior Data Analyst is required to join a tier 1 bank based in Edinburgh to manage and lead a team of Data Analysts who assist in the design and testing of data related to the implementation of new and existing Anti Financial Crime systems.

As a Senior Data Analyst (Manager) will be expected to meet regularly with key business areas ensure expectations are met, obstacles are addressed, and relationships are proactively managed.

You and your team will need to complete data integrity and testing of new systems and enhance existing systems that sit within the Financial Crime umbrella. These can be automated suspicious activity transaction monitoring systems or Know Your Customer ("KYC") programs.

The role requires you to ensure that the Head of Risk Analytics and the Head of Financial Crime are appropriately advised of and issues.

Given the role sits within Financial Crime, AML you will be expected to take a proactive approach in developing and maintaining a current knowledge of industry AML initiatives and best practices.

A general understanding of AML issues and AML suspicious activity transaction monitoring systems, data mining/analytical tools, and KYC automated solutions is desirable but not mandatory.

We are looking for someone with financial services data analysis and/or application development. Management experience is also important.

Experience using SAS, Oracle, MS SQL Server, MS Access and MS Excel (advanced functions) to query and analyse large data sources will be highly desired.
