As Technical Analyst / Developer at Rolls-Royce you will use your coding skills in VBA / Excel, databases, Outlook, SharePoint and SAP to create and develop technical tools for our Human Resources Shared Service Centre. The development of these tools is integral to the success of our business; the existing reports that you will work on will help us provide support to the talented people that work across our business. Additionally the new reports you will help us produce will enable us to analyse performance in the most sophisticated ways possible, to ensure we continue innovate in all that we do.

Key Accountabilities

* Conduct a detailed review of current workflow understanding all points of entry and requirements.

* Build, develop and create a technical solution which incorporates all workflow requirements for the team. Develop a single entry point for requests of a transactional nature not included within Workday.

* Using the developed solution create a fit for purpose performance reporting suite which includes all transactional activity not requested in Workday, transactional activity within Workday and all query management.

* Embed the developed tool and associated performance reporting, ensuring its use and adoption once the product is ready for deployment.

* Ensuring that the system is future proof and sustainable moving forward.

Qualifications and Experience

* Excellent technical capability and highly proficient in coding, Excel, VBA, databases, Outlook, SharePoint and SAP.

* Previous experience in building and developing bespoke technical solutions used in a high volume service environment for workflow management; building scalable enterprise solutions on platforms such as Office365 / SharePoint.

* Experience of integrating with SAP/Oracle/Workday and knowledge of query building and reporting solutions including Business Objects/SQL/Other similar analytics tools.

* Technical ability to simplify and develop a system which includes multiple entry points, and varying outputs.

* Understanding of Shared Service or Contact Centre (multi-channel) ways of working.

* Some Workday exposure would be desirable.
