Network Engineer Job Responsibilities:

* To lead the implementation of changes & transitions from a Networks perspective including all aspects of the change lifecycle

* Impact Assessments, RiskManagement/Mitigation, Escalations where appropriate and implementation

* Handover into Live Support and regular updates & communication to key stakeholders

* Work on development initiatives with regular interaction with key business personnel, peers and colleagues from project inception to delivery

Pre-requisites:

* Two years` minimum experience working in a Data Networking Environment

* Ideally qualified to at least CCNA and/or CCDA

* Experience with Cisco, Nortel, F5 and Bluecoat

* Experience of Firewall technologies including Cisco, Nokia/Checkpoint, McAfee, Sonicwall and Juniper

* Able to appreciate the concepts around voice inter-networking, including VoIP

* Familiarisation with Local Area networking concepts such as Ethernet

* 10BaseT, 100BaseT, Gigabit, Fibre, copper and wireless implementations

* Familiarisation with Wide Area networking protocols such as HDLC, PPP.
