Job Title: Business Performance Analyst / Data Analyst / Statistician / Data Scientist

Location: Various locations including Tower Hamlets and Brixton

Salary: £28,000 - £35,000

Job Role:

The company is currently looking for 2 x Business Performance Analyst / Data Analyst / Statistician / Data Scientist to join a leading Environmental company to be based at Brixton (London borough of Lambeth) or Tower Hamlets. As the Business Analyst you will be centrally located in a Regional Business Performance Team.

You will be part of a Business Performance Team of young, ambitious, innovative and highly motivated individuals that all work effectively as a team and individually.

You will produce analytical tools, reports and Key Performance Indicators that constantly improve the standards and service levels of our stakeholder's processes. You will work on high profile projects on multi-million pound contracts that will give you exposure to senior management. You will also provide analytical support to tenders for new and existing customers.

You will have the opportunity to analyse data from every aspect of the business; GPS, Finance, HR, H&S and any other data that can be extracted from the management information systems.

Innovative thinking is promoted and you will be given opportunities to present your ideas to the Business Performance Manager which, if approved, would allow you to continue to work on your own project.

Key Responsibilities:

* Develop, generate and present reports to senior management, operations, technical and support teams and external clients.

* Proactively identify trends in data and make recommendations on operational improvements.

* Enhance operational performance and decision making through the analysis of operational data and KPI (Key Performance Indicator) reports.

* Understand the management systems and be able recommend changes in order to continuously improve the systems for the benefit of the operational employees and analytics.

* Be able to communicate technical solutions to non-technical people.

The Candidate:

For your application to be successful the below requirements are required as well as confirmation that you have a full UK driver's license:

* Educated to a degree level (or similar experience) in an IT or Mathematical related discipline.

* Be able to demonstrate advanced Excel skills including embedded if/and/or formulas, vlookups, sumifs, countifs and any other advanced formulas and be able to analyse complex datasets.

* Working knowledge of Microsoft SQL server (ideally using Management studio) including creating temp tables, CTEs, joins, subqueries etc.

* Strong communication and presentation skills

* Ability to analyse complex data sets.

The following skills and experience will be an additional benefit to the role:

* Report writing experience (Microsoft Report Builder, Microsoft Power Pivot, Microsoft Power View, Microsoft Power BI).

* GIS mapping and analysis e.g. ESRI ArcMap, arc server, MapPoint.

NOTE: Candidates should be based within a reasonable commuting distance to South London as the base office. This role will also require travel across sites in South London including sites not easily accessible by public transport.
