System Monitoring Implementation Lead

Erskine, Scotland

£300 - £340 Per Day

You will be part of the Global Engineering and Technical Consulting (GETC) team, a WW organization with representatives in all regions. Your focus will be EMEA customers. Within GETC, you will join the System Monitoring Engineering team, who is responsible to develop new infrastructure monitoring solution using HPOM or BSM suites of products, to deploy those monitoring solution for new customer during the Transformation phase, and to pass over to Operation team for on-going operation activities.

Responsibilities:

* Implements part or all of the technical solution to the client, in accordance with an agreed technical design. Occasionally responsible for providing a detailed technical design for enterprise solutions. Understands a broad spectrum of HP technology in order to provide part or all of a detailed technical design which meets customer requirements.

* Often leads small to medium technical projects. Works with and under the direction of the Project/Technical Manager and with customer nominated representatives. Liaises with Solutions Architect as appropriate.

* Provides technical support and input on the application of technology to a defined business segment. Provides advice on solution and integration opportunities to defined segments.

* Contributes to knowledge tools and communities, and ensures project learning's are documented and shared. Role models Focuses on single customer. Solves diverse and complex. May lead a project team.

Education and Experience Required:

Typically 2-3 years of professional experience and a Bachelor of Arts/Science or equivalent degree in computer science or related area of study;

Essential Knowledge and Skills Required:

* System monitoring experience and deploying solutions;

* Analytical and problem solving skills

* Experience working with HP Operations Manager 9.x

* Proficiency with database development (SQL) and management

* Proficiency at programming in the Perl, Shell, VBS, Python, Java or PHP programming languages

* Proficiency utilizing JSON, XML frameworks

* Experience with Operating Systems UNIX (Linux, Solaris, HPUX, AIX) and Windows

* Experience designing and developing software applications

* Experience in Software Testing, and Problem Solving

* Experience documenting software functionality, ability to integrate software with existing systems

* Effective presentation, written communication, and verbal communication skills in English
