Computer Futures are working with an established eCommerce company who are looking for a contract UX / UI Designer to join the business during an exciting digital transformation.

The UX / UI Designer will lead the user experience and help to re-design the business page by page. This role will report directly into the Head of eCommerce and be a crucial role in the future direction of the business.

The UX / UI Designer will be responsible for:

* Conducting a complete review of all online user experience across all channels

* Building and implementing all UX processes, wireframes and relevant documentation

* Working with various internal stakeholders on the education of UX, its purpose and how it will contribute within the company

* Scoping mock-ups for discussion and developing wireframes

* Measuring, analysing and optimising the performance of new designs and interactions to align with business priorities

* Driving onsite conversion rates

* Create and build highly engaging visual designs across various customer touch points including desktop, mobile, tablet

* Lead on brand, print and digital design

* Continuously seek to improve the company's approach to design by keeping up to date with trends, best practices, digital advancements and competitors

* Work closely with the marketing team (PR, content, digital) to create designs from concept through to production

* Be able to code email templates (HTML, CSS, PHP)

The UX / UI Designer must:

* Have strong UX experience within an eCommerce environment

* Have strong experience wireframing, creating user-flows, site maps and prototypes

* Have excellent communication skills and be able to articulate ideas to business and tech teams

* A strong digital portfolio - demonstrating all types of web design across various customer touch points

* Confident HTML and CSS design skills (the ability to hand-code in HTML/CSS/PHP)

* Experience in concept design

* A good understanding of UX and how visual design can contribute to delivering strong interfaces

* Sound experience in the Adobe CS suite of applications including Fireworks, Dreamweaver, Photoshop and Illustrator

* Excellent problem solving skills and attention to detail
