based in Wakefield working for one of the UK's leading organisations.

Group IT Network and Telecommunications Manager

Location: Wakefield

Salary: £40,000 - £44,000 + Company Car

Essential Skills:

* Five to seven years' experience in the IT industry with at least three years of managing all aspects of network and telecommunication systems in a multi-site organisation of at least 1000+ end users

* Experience of managing 24x7 support for network and telecommunication systems

* Experience of designing and running complex multi-site MPLS networks and internetworking with routeing protocols EIGRP, OSPF and BGP.

* Expert knowledge in network, network security, Internetworking and Internet technologies

* Expert knowledge of managing Cisco Nexus 7000, Cisco Routers, Switches, WLAN, WLC, Firewall and VPN ASA and IDS devices required.

* Experience managing multiple multisite TDM PABX, IP Telephony systems and mobile systems.

* Proven experience in delivering complex technical change and large scale IT projects

* Proven experience in improving IT security, developing and performing disaster recovery tests

* Is familiar with the concepts and practices required to run effective IT solutions.

* Must have supplier management and negotiation skills.

* Ability to quickly comprehend the functions and capabilities of new technologies.

* Sound working knowledge of the key business processes within an FMCG company (Essential)

Soft Skills:

* At least four years working in a medium to large IT team for a non-IT company (preferably a consumer goods company, and preferably within the last five years). Experience of IT integration 2for mergers and acquisition is highly regarded

* Is well organised, logical and practical and shows a high degree of formal problem-solving skills

* Understands how to deal with ambiguity, priorities, workload and deal with multiple competing customers and situations.

* Excellent communication skills (verbal, written, presentational) for both technical and non-technical audiences.

The Role:

As a Group IT Network and Telecommunications Manager you will be responsible for managing 24x7 availability and performance of IT Network and Telecommunication systems used across all divisions ~7500 users across c60sites. Ensuring that Network and Telecommunication system meet business service level expectations. You will own and manage relationships with key vendors, service providers and 3rd party support organisations. You will be responsible for ensuring support that all team requests and incidents are dealt within agreed SLA's. Manages the delivery of IT projects, work request and changes - ensuring that they are delivered on time budget and to the required level of quality with no business disruption.
