Project Manager - Cutomer Facing

This is a Project Manager role working with a large communications organisation in London. The successful candidate will be working on the Automated Service communications that go out to the client's entire consumer base. These include mandatory comms (email, letter, and SMS) needed to keep the client compliant with regulation. The main purpose of the role is managing the workstack of requirements for changes and updates to these comms and coordinating stakeholders across the business and external agencies to drive them through to delivery.

Responsibilities:

* Reviewing the impact of new briefs into the Automated Comms team from 1) Platform releases and 2)Ad Hoc change processes

* Lead the sizing of new requirements into the workstack across internal and external (agency) stakeholders. Managing the sizing of the resources needed to deliver briefs into the team.

* Manage stakeholders across the business in line with the Automated Communications Governance process, making sure processes are followed correctly.

* Leading the coordination of teams across Consumer and TSO (our technical delivery organisation) to make sure the correct details for each requirement are understood and agreed

* Manage copy sign off for changes with stakeholders including Legal, Brand, Compliance as well as Marketing

* Managing issues and defects with these Comms through to resolution - working with Customer Experience and technical teams to get things fixed when they go wrong

* Coordinating the release note for each system release making sure it's fully approved ahead of changes going live

* Project management fundamentals for the area including Status updates for Head of Customer Comms and actions and minutes for regular requirement and triage calls

* Ensure all proposition and customer experience requirements are aligned/scheduled with overall product plans/business needs

* Report progress in agreed format and identify and escalate key risks and issues.

Skills/Experience:

* Excellent stakeholder management skills and attention to detail are an absolute must

* You'll potentially be looking after 50+ changes at any one time so being able to prioritise is key.

* You'll be an team player and able to manage others in a virtual team including those based offshore

* Proficient in project planning, organising, motivating a virtual team, and delegating underpinned by excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills

* A general understanding of the software release cycles work is required (design, develop, test, deploy)

* Project management qualifications such as PRINCE2, Membership of APM, IPM or 6 Sigma are advantageous but not essential.
