My client, a leading tier one bank, are looking for a Senior Sanctions Investigations Analyst to join their Regional Sanctions Alert Investigations Team on a long-term contractual basis.

The successful Sanctions Investigations Analyst will: Investigate Level 3 Sanctions alerts for Customer, Transactions or Trade Activity.

Determine whether the alert is a True Match or a False Positive by following internal guidelines for Sanctions Alert Investigations.

The Sanctions Investigations Analyst will record all decisions made and escalate all True Matches to the Country Sanctions Officer.

The Sanctions Investigations Analyst will also produce ongoing Operational and Strategic MI.

The Sanctions Investigations Analyst will also support the second line of defence oversight of sanctions risk within the Region through the application of the Sanctions Investigations activities.

Key Accountabilities of the successful Sanctions Investigations Analyst include:

Fulfilling and executing required Regional-Level alert investigations

Following Internal Guidelines on the decision making of False Positives and Potential True Matches that have reached Level 3

Effectively support the Sanctions Alert investigations Lead's in the achievement of their management responsibilities

Providing subject matter expertise to the implementation of globally led Sanctions change initiatives within Region and more specifically within Regional Alert Investigations Team

Act as the initial escalation point for issues raised by Country Sanctions Officers or colleagues from the Lines of Business.

The successful Sanctions Investigations Analyst will:

Ensure full adherence to Internal Policies within Region, including but not limited to related Sanctions Guidance and Operating Procedures

Support Alert Investigation Lead's in identifying Sanctions themes and trends

Where identified escalate Sanctions breaches in the appropriate manner to the required escalation point

Assist Regional Investigations Lead's with the periodic review of the Sanctions Standards with regards to procedures, risk based approaches and QA

Work alongside the Investigations Lead identifying opportunities for efficiencies/continuous process improvement.

Ensure clarity and accuracy when providing information to team members and other stakeholders

Work closely with Regional Alert Investigations Lead to provide assistance in working with the FCC Monitoring & Testing function and FCC Assurance to ensure effective deployment of system and procedural changes as required.

Support senior management in engagement with internal audit by supplying information in a timely and accurate manner as required and requested
