Due to this growth, Experis are delighted to present an opportunity for an experienced professional seeking a role in Infrastructure Management, covering Line Management of Senior Systems Engineers, Release Engineers and Helpdesk Support Analysts.
Our client has made it clear that a hands on technical competency and evidence of man management are critical to this role. Your role will see you act as a senior point of contact within their Infrastructure division and responsibilities will include:
* Responsible for transitioning managed services for clients from contract wins to operational deployments
* Ensure the platform services team are appropriately developed to achieve company goals
* Ensure platform service SLAs are met
* Delivery of the service desk, technical management, IT operations management, asset management, capacity planning, application management including monitoring as aligned to the ITIL service operations function
* Act as escalation point for customers, support teams and staff to address issues as required
* Contribute to the running and development of the Information Security Management System to ISO27001 standards
* Advise internal teams on appropriate IT solutions to business problems
* Operating and installing the network and server infrastructure, datacenter and business continuity sites, partner-collocated hardware
* Supplier management of key technology suppliers and partners
* Contribute to the setting and management of the IS budget
* Customer management including supporting account development and assisting with Bids and customer presentations
Technical competency includes:
* Minimum 5 years experience of IS Management within a Microsoft/Linux environment across multiple sites
* Indepth knowledge of networking and security, including encryption techniques
* Excellent applied working knowledge of ITIL processes and tools
* Demonstrated cloud deployment and management experience
* Experience in managing and ensuring uptime for critical services such as databases (PostgreSQL amongst others), back-end services and platform resources (such as file systems, directory services, etc)
* Experience in load balancing and high availability techniques
* Experience of backup/restore techniques, including disaster recovery/business continuity provision to meet recovery time and recovery point objectives (RTO/RPO)
* Deployment automation experience (Audit, Monitoring)
* Experience of VMware/vSphere and/or virtualization technologies
* Strong people management skills, with a proven background in leading and motivating a service team
