Project manager required for the Markets Operations Team. The aim is to develop and maintain an efficient, well controlled and cost effective operations environment capable of supporting the current and future business, client and regulatory requirements.
This role will require some travel to London
WHATS ON OFFER:
RATE: £350 - £375
LOCATION: EDINBURGH
CONTRACT : 4 MONTHS ( WILL BE OPPORTUNITY FOR EXTENSIONS)
Working in a team which is the centre of excellence for the production and automation of Management Information (MI) for Markets Operations (MO) responsibilities will include.
Key Responsibilities:
* Project Set Up and Closure: Feeds into business study/proposals and business cases, ensuring alignment with business strategy; agreement of project business outcomes and benefits; and how these will be measured and tracked post implementation.
* Works with the business area(s) to ensure an effective approach to business implementation, handover, and acceptance of the change.
* Governance and Reporting: Works closely with the Business Leads to provide regular status reporting appropriately to different stakeholders and to agreed CMT standards.
* Project Delivery: Defines and implements a detailed delivery approach for each stage of the project lifecycle, obtains acceptance and buy?in to the approach from all team members, and produces and owns all project management deliverables, using established project methodologies, to the right level of quality.
* Planning: Produces and owns the project plan. Controls, manages and monitors project timescales, reporting variances, escalating as appropriate to overcome delays, difficulties or cost over-runs, and re-forecasting where necessary.
* Resource Management: Tracks resource requirements (including roles and responsibilities),
Key Capabilities/ Knowledge:
* A good understanding of the products supported in MO
* Project Management, Analytical skills, planning skills, presentation skills to include verbal, graphic and written
* Ability to be able to manipulate data using Microsoft Desktop at an advanced level capability and a Structured Query Language (SQL) capability
* Communication, Influencing & relationships: The role will involve interaction with MO colleagues include MO senior management and their direct reports
Desirable
* Experience of Lean and Six Sigma workflow management
