Sourcing Advisor - Edinburgh

The Role

Supervise the introduction of new optical/mechanical components for new Imaging products:

*Project management and technical support for design sign-off, sample procurement, product qualification, ramp-up, yield improvement, change management.

*Performing process audits in accordance with VDA 6.3 certification

*Manage the interface between design and engineering, suppliers, quality, marketing, planning, customers and production sites. Establish the lowest cost-of-ownership for lenses/mechanical parts in line with Divisional Sourcing

*Interface with design development, validation and production, from the design and the selection of supplier to the high volume production.

Supervise Division Sourcing documentation requirement - material/vendor codifications and NDAs. Follow-up, team support, weekly reporting.

As part of the Sourcing Group, this role is responsible for a section of vendors and technologies for these activities. The prime responsibility will be for the smooth integration of new product starts in Asian Production facilities to ensure pilot build control, supplier feedback, improvement implementation and quality improvement.
