My Industry leading client is a global provider of Applications, Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) and Infrastructure services globally through a combination of technology knowhow, domain and process expertise.

Due to continued global success, they now have a fantastic opportunity for a SharePoint 3rd Line Support Consultant to join on a role which will provide expertise in managing and maintaining IT Infrastructure including networks and systems.

Responsibilities will include:-

*Co-ordinate and configure SharePoint Server Operating Environments (hardware, software, and add-in tasks such as Backup/Restore, Content Management and Archiving software.

*Manage and Maintain Client SharePoint Farms & availability of provisioned Client Site Collections - along with the associated & agreed Security Model for each.

*Maintain active monitoring of the Farms & ensure that Database and SQL Log housekeeping tasks are undertaken on a regular basis.

*Validate, Import & install Client "Add-On" applications (WSP Packages) in line with agreed/formal Change Processes.

*Establish, execute and monitor leveraged customer environments to an agreed level of service.

*To Create and Run a range of Powershell scripts to aid in both the day to day SharePoint system maintenance & for ad-hoc MI / Reporting / Implementation tasks.

*Work with other teams to optimize and resolve Infrastructure issues on SharePoint Farm & related server tooling (including SQL & OWA)

*Recommend and implement changes to the server hardware and software schemes as required - including (but not limited to) Cumulative Updates & Security fixes.

*Provide an escalation point for field service engineers and Service Desk agents where complex issues surround the use or performance of SharePoint Portals/Sites/Applications.

*Report and liaise with software vendors for failures, following ITIL process.

*Respond to service desk incident management systems tickets via ITIL process

Essential Knowledge and Skills Required:

*Microsoft SharePoint 2010 / 2013

*Microsoft SQL 2012

*Windows Server 2008R2 Enterprise, Windows Server 2012 Enterprise

*PowerShell scripting

*Active Directory

*DNS
