A UNIX/LINUX administrator, with extensive Amazon Web Services (AWS) and UNIX server experience is required by a global tier1 investment bank based in the City of London, on a 6 month rolling contract basis. The client is looking for someone to start within 4 weeks.

Role: Unix/Linux Admin

Rate: £475/day

Location: London

Summary of the role:

* Linux Systems Administrator for a project delivery role; configuring and delivering Linux based server environments and services.

* You will need the ability not only to support, and configure the products but also pass on your skills to colleagues.

Essential Experience:

* You will already have significant experience of working in a major enterprise environment and proficiency in Linux server admin skills (RedHat/SUSE) is a must.

* Solaris x86 & SPARC is desirable.

* Excellent knowledge of Veritas Volume manager and Veritas Cluster Server is required.

* You will need to have experience with IBM and HP hardware with NAS storage and EMC SAN solutions.

* Experience of Web facing environments, AWS and use of netHSM technology is desirable
