Your challenge:

You will work as part of the Core Software Development team.

Your role:

As a Graduate Software Engineer you'll work as part of a team, but you'll also need the ability to work independently on key product components.

The Software Development team plays a key role in the company. Their reputation is based on responsive, flexible, on-time delivery which cannot be achieved without extremely adaptable, high quality, robust software. It is critical that you're highly motivated, experienced, skilled and smart to ensure that high quality products can continue to be developed according to very tight timescales with limited resources.

You'll be required to:

* Design, develop and implement new software functionality.

* Fix defects which are found with existing software

* Identify and implement appropriate unit testing.

* Write technical documentation for software developed.

* Provide input into user interface design.

My client have a core development team and use a sprint based agile approach to development. Your role as Graduate Software Engineer could also involve the development of any aspect of the company's core technology.

About you:

* You have a degree in Software Engineering

* You may have an advanced postgraduate degree

* You'll have significant experience of development of complex software products, including:

* desktop applications

* server side, web based applications.

* Experience designing and implementing large pieces of time critical, business critical software.

* Significant experience with a range of the following technologies:

* Java - SE/ME/EE

* C#

* XML
