Deliver the technology that will fight crime and catch criminals
Join us as a Solution Delivery Portfolio Performance Analyst and you could help give the Met new and exciting technology. With efficient, modern ICT systems we can do an even better job of policing and protecting London. It’s a chance to check that projects and programmes are delivered to agreed parameters - all while earning excellent rewards and benefits. Ultimately, your expertise will help us fight crime and catch criminals.
As part of our Solution Delivery Team, you’ll join an ‘intelligent client function’ that’s responsible for ICT change services within the Met. Your job will be to analyse data from project reporting and provide key insights for managers. With the information you provide, we can see if Solution Providers and SDIM (Solution Delivery & Integration Management) suppliers are observing the project and programme reporting framework. We can also track spending and key change requests. Quality assurance will be a big part of your role too - you’ll check all reports provided by SDIM and the Solution Delivery Programme Management Team.
With your expertise helping us track the status of individual programmes and the overall portfolio, you’ll play an important role in a dedicated team. To join us, you must be a Project or Programme Manager, or working in a PMO in an audit or assurance role. Whatever your background, you must have worked on ICT projects before and handled Portfolio Management functions through outsourced suppliers. You’ll therefore know all about different project management methodologies (Agile, Prince 2, Waterfall), as well as governance and reporting. You’ll combine all this with a degree (or equivalent) and excellent stakeholder management skills. Analytical and articulate, you can influence, build relationships and solve problems.
If you’ve got the tenacity and commitment to make a difference to how the Met works, we can offer great rewards including 28 days’ holiday, free gym membership and a Defined Benefit Alpha pension.

We view diversity as fundamental to our success. To tackle today’s complex policing challenges, we need a workforce made up from all of London’s communities. Applications from across the community are therefore essential.
