Experis are recruiting on behalf of our Client a leading Engineering Support Services organisation for an experienced Commercial professional to join their Bids function to provide commercial leadership on complex high value bids.

The main responsibilities of this role are as follows -

* Commercial leadership of major multi-million bid, providing commercial leadership in direct customer facing role externally and with internal customers and across functions within the business

* Management of commercial and contractual relationships with customers and partners and working closely with and beside the Procurement & Supply Chain team to manage strategic suppliers.

* Lead on customer negotiations and manage external legal support as necessary

* Ensure compliance with the bid governance process to ensure that commercial control is maintained throughout the project lifecycle

* Provide leadership and recommendations on issues such as deal structures and commercial and negotiating strategies in accordance with Company policy an d process

* In relation to immediate major bid requirements, provide commercial leadership and control across the project, including management of the risks and opportunities process and interfacing with the potential JV partner

* Lead on compliance with internal policies and procedures as regards commercial and bidding best practice in respect of all tasks

* Lead the development and creation of JVCO Shareholder agreements

* Lead the review of terms and their flow down through the supply chain

* Lead all commercial elements of bid writing and proposal generation including responses on; contract management, governance, terms and conditions, PPIM, partnering, risk, exit, insurance and liabilities and finance

The successful candidate will display the following skills and experience -

* Proven experience in a similar Commercial Management leadership role gained within the IT, Telecoms, Defence or Support Services sectors

* A depth of practical experience of developing proposals

* Strong commercial acumen with drive to success and achieve outstanding results

* Basis understanding of contract law and an understanding of service based outsourcing contracts

* Commercial leadership and business awareness together with an understanding of contract management including diligent document control, reporting cycles, drafting etc

* IT Literate

* Excellent written and oral communication skills

* Flexible for travel UK wide and potentially some international travel as required

* Must be able to gain and maintain UK SC level security clearance
