A superb opportunity to manage and lead a digital services delivery team, which leads on the adoption and implementation of digital solutions within this prestigious client. The department focuses on delivering digital solutions which meet the needs of a variety of projects across the organisation. These projects and change request (CR)s vary greatly in scale from small 1-2 days jobs to projects which last several months.

The primary responsibility of the role is to manage the program of projects on a day-to-day basis working very closely with the Head of Digital Development & Delivery to ensure that delivery is aligned to the department’s strategy and roadmap, and organisation wide objectives.

The role will require a very good technical background, particularly within web delivery and proven experience of managing projects and supplier relationships across large scale web and mobile based projects. Alongside this, exposure to program management and governance is desirable.

You should be able to demonstrate most of the following competencies:

A proven track record of technical and web project management adopting Agile methodologies, i.e. Scrum.

A proven track record of resource and schedule management, including the use of appropriate planning and work management tools, such as JIRA, Confluence and Basecamp.

Experience of managing a helpdesk and digital studio services would be highly advantageous, with an understanding of service management principles, such as ITIL.

Experience of working in a fast paced digital agency or e-business environment, with exposure to digital design approaches and processes, such as Lean UX and mobile first.

Experience of working within and alongside project delivery teams, with a working knowledge of web and digital technologies.

Extensive experience of resource planning within a web agency environment, where priorities can change quickly and suddenly.

Previous experience of resource planning within a project team.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

The successful applicant can expect an excellent basic salary, a great working environment and a market-leading benefits package.
