SENIOR PROJECT MANAGER | DATA CENTRE MIGRATIONSLocation: Reading
Salary: £50-£65k + bonus + benefits
Our client requires a Senior Project Manager with previous experience in Data Centre Migration projects - Without this you will not be suitable for this role.
The principle objective of the role is to manage the successful deployment of their Technology Solutions or products for customers to agreed timescales, budgeted costs and the required quality levels. The Project Manager provides the point of contact for the customer throughout the lifecycle of the project and ensures the successful delivery and handover to the Support Centre on final acceptance.
Main Responsibilities:
Deliver Data Centre Infrastructure Migration and support services for our portfolio of customers. These projects will be non-standard, complex initiatives that include, but not limited to, from Physical relocation's, discovery and assessments, diligence, to Cloud and Virtual migrations and build outs locally, within EMEA and Globally.
Work with the Sales and Customer Account Managers, SE Technical Specialists (where applicable) to ensure that project deliverables are clearly defined, and agreed with the customer at the initiation phase of the project.
Provide and manage the conduit for all communication written and oral with the customer in relation to the Project.
Manage effectively multiple projects of varying complexity to ensure that the projects are delivered on time, within budget and to the customers' satisfaction.
Provide the point of contact for the customer throughout the project.
Ensure the customers' expectations are set and effectively managed.
Assume overall responsibility for a project's delivery and activate Client billing.
Use and follow the company's Prince2-based project coordination and project management processes.
Minimum Qualifications:
Demonstrable experience of transitioning and migrating clients into datacenters
Experienced and qualified in the application of the Prince2 Project Management methodology.
Proven Project Management skills in a technical environment, with sound commercial understanding
Experienced in delivering projects to clients ensuring customer satisfaction.
Expert knowledge of MS Office and MS Project.
