Who we are what we do

We’re more than 375,000 people working in over 200 cities across 56 countries around the globe. A world-leading organisation, we provide consultancy and technology expertise to some of the biggest names in just about every industry you can imagine. Clients come to us to make more of their business opportunities, adapt successfully to change, put ideas into action and gain - or sustain - a competitive edge. With our knowledge of the markets, understanding of the power of technology and ability to shape and implement transformational solutions, we do just that. We work with 4,000 companies and 91 of the Fortune Global 100. As a growing firm we need talented graduates like you to join us.

Technology Architecture Graduate Programme

On our Technology Architecture Graduate Programme, you’ll develop your skills to shape and direct the technical solutions and blueprints that solve our clients’ biggest business challenges. You’ll evaluate the project requirements, work alongside a project team to set the technical strategy, process and technology architecture, and support the delivery of change.

You’ll work on projects that develop our most technically complex and cutting-edge solutions, as well as collaborating with our delivery teams to ensure solutions are feasible and functional. This could mean defining technical requirements, developing technical architecture components, taking part in design and code reviews, or reviewing systems performance or test plans.

You’ll have the opportunity to gain a formal industry-recognised Technology Architecture certification and you'll join a community of employees involved in technology architecture (those certified as well as those pursuing certification).

What you’ll learn

You’ll grow to become an expert in exploring how a client’s vision is a achieved through using the latest technologies. Technology does not stand still and our Technology Architects need to develop and sustain the skills our clients demand. Our Technology Architects have been at the forefront of new approaches to modern trends such as cloud, big data, internet of things, containers and digital technologies.

In addition to online training Accenture offers formal training schools for Technology Architecture and associated disciplines such as Integration Architecture and Development Architecture.

What’s in it for you

As well as the prospect of a great career centred around improving the way the world works and lives, you can look forward to a competitive starting salary and a generous holiday allowance. Other benefits include a pension scheme, personal laptop, an AMEX card, private healthcare, subsidised gym membership, season ticket loan and much more besides. For a comprehensive list of all our benefits, visit our website.

What we’re looking for

Curious about technology and how things work, you’ll need a keen interest in pursuing a career in technology architecture plus initial experience and understanding of base technology. You should know at least one programming language and have technical software development experience with at least one platform. An awareness of different dimensions of software architecture and a good understanding of current technology trends are also important.

You’ll be a team worker with strong communication skills and a creative and problem solving mind-set. You’ll also need a minimum 2:1 degree (any discipline - achieved or predicted).

Where you’ll work

Because you could be placed at any one of our offices in Edinburgh, London, Manchester or Newcastle and may be delivering projects on client sites anywhere in the UK (and sometimes abroad), so you’ll need to be flexible.

Places are filled on a first-come, first-served basis. So please apply early to avoid disappointment.

Please note, we have opportunities for candidates to join us from January 2017. However, if you’re a current graduate you can apply to join us when you graduate.
