Enigma People Solutions is looking for a talented hardware engineer to join our client’s dynamic team. The client is a forward thinking, innovative and successful company seeking like-minded people to join them at an exciting time in their development. As a Hardware Engineer, you will be at the forefront of expanding the functionality of our client’s existing hardware and developing bespoke technologies to meet the challenging demands of their customers. As part of this team, you will be working on complex, bespoke, state-of the art solutions, so this role requires a readiness to learn about and understand their products and technologies.

HARDWARE ENGINEER KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Design, implementation and test of analogue and digital electronic hardware

Work with a multidisciplinary team to deliver projects within tight timescales

Skilfully analyse complex project needs and contribute to hardware solutions and written proposals/documentation.

Ensure that goals relating to product quality, cost, lead time and manufacturing efficiency are met during the product lifecycle

Conduct and contribute to peer reviews to assess viability of proposed hardware/ software solutions.

Effectively communicate with Project Manager and Team Leader with updates on progress and providing reports when required

Provide ongoing technical support for developed products

Ensure that project related documentation is complete, accurate and up-to-date

SKILLS REQUIRED:

Experience with analogue circuit design and modeling

Experience in the use of Altium Designer or equivalent for schematic capture and PCB layout.

Signal integrity design and familiarity of layout involving high speed signals

Design of circuits utilising microcontrollers and associated components

Design of circuits utilising high-speed ADCs and DACs

Knowledge of serial interfaces and relevant communication protocols (e.g. I2C, SPI, USB, RS232)

PCB prototyping and soldering skills (down to 0603 SMT components)

Design for Manufacture and Test

Design for EMC compliance
