QA Test Manager/Test Lead required for an award-winning national success story in Harpenden. Coming from very humble beginnings, my client is now one of the fastest growing SaaS providers in the UK working with the very latest technology.

We are looking to recruit an experienced QA Test Manager/Lead to join an established and talented Test team in Harpenden. This is a very exciting time for the business and Test team in particular who are getting involved with a variety of different projects with touch points across their entire product suite. This is an extremely exciting and rare opportunity for an individual to not only carry out team management and lead responsibilities, but to also remain hands-on with technology and have the ability to learn new tools as the team and company progresses - something not often seen with Lead/Management roles.

The successful candidate will be responsible for leading and providing management duties for a team of 7 Testers all the while still remaining hands-on with Manual and Automation Testing of software across multiple platforms (web/mobile etc.)

Test Automation is being rolled out across all product teams, and as such an amazing opportunity exists for an individual who has some exposure in this area to learn new tools and get more involved with Automation activities.

Successful candidates will need to display strong Manual and Automation Testing capabilities within a software development environment together with Management or Test Team Lead experience (career management/appraisals/reviews/stakeholder management etc.)

Some exposure to Test Automation is also required (Selenium being the tool of choice) although other tools will be considered. Being a SaaS business, applicants must display excellent knowledge of the Software Development Life Cycle and demonstrable evidence of writing working through the entire test cycle from defining acceptance criteria, analysing results and bug fixing. Any experience of Scripting using PowerShell or SQL is desired although not essential as is experience with Keyword-Driven Testing ideally with experience with the Robot Framework.

Agile methodology is prevalent across the business, so naturally applicants will need to show prior experience of, and interest in, working in a fast paced Agile environment. ISEB/ISTQB accreditations should also appear in your application.
