Graduate Analog/Mixed Signal IC Design Engineer - Scotland

A new opportunity has arisen for a Graduate Analog/Mixed Signal IC Design Engineer to join an established design centre based in Edinburgh.

Working within an experienced team of design engineers, you will be working on Analog/Mixed Signal IC Design for advanced power control IC's for a broad range of applications including automotive and industrial.

In this position, you will work on the Analog sections of motor control Mixed Signal IC's with responsibilities ranging from cell design to whole chip development. You will take a project from the preliminary data sheet stage through circuit architecture, design, simulation, supervising layout and on to bench evaluation and debugging. You will also be involved in the design of Analog and Mixed Signal systems / architectures and building blocks including testing and supervision of layout activities and bench evaluation of silicon.

The successful Analog/Mixed Signal IC Designer will have a working knowledge of transistor level MOS and bipolar Analog IC Design and will have experience in some or all of the following; comparators, charge pumps, op-amps, DC-DC converters, power output stages, linear regulators, ADC's. Strong experience is required in design tools - Cadence Virtuoso/Spectre. Experience with motor control and power switching is highly desired.

You should have a strong sense of initiative with an innovative and creative approach to new designs and problem solving. Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well with in a team is essential. Due to UK visa restrictions, applicants with the ability to work in the UK only need apply.
