Reporting directly to the Data Planning Manager, the Senior Data Planner is part of a team responsible for recommending and planning customer database selections to support marketing activity. Through the use of our CRM Tool (IBM Campaign Unica) selections will be best in class, efficient and to schedule. The role holder will also drive suggestions for better data uses and handle all related queries.

What you will be doing

As a Senior Data Planner you will be responsible for the supply of accurate customer data to personalise our data driven marketing activity. Working alongside our CRM team you will help define the contact strategy and act as customer data expert adding value through recommendations you make.

You will work with our Analytics team to define new segments and models, implementing these within campaigns and tracking performance against campaign KPIs. You will also work alongside our Customer Data team to define new data streams and feed requirements for continuous improvements to campaign activities.

As a Senior Data Planner you will also work in collaboration with multiple functions across the business, including Retail, Marketing, PR & Customer Services, to build new and exciting contact strategies through multiple channels and define new requirements that help our customers discover their smile.

You will be responsible for two large programmes which span our key brands (Thomson & First Choice) and will work on the scheduling and prioritisation of these programmes whilst always ensuring latest business rules are adhered to and data is delivered accurately and on-time.

What we are looking for

-Proven background in Data Planning

-Experience in multi-channel campaign planning

-Ability to build and execute new campaigns, QA and document.

-Solid understanding of CRM data systems (IBM Campaign, Unica), processes and analytics platforms

-CRM experience (database marketing / loyalty / CRM / acquisition and retention marketing)

-Sound knowledge and experience of using SQL to at least an intermediate level

-Superb engagement and influencing skills in dealing with both internal and external stakeholders

-Excellent communicator - able to explain the technical details of data in a non-technical way both written and verbal
