Enigma People Solutions’ is looking for a Product Test Engineer to join our multinational electronics client within their Imaging Division located in Edinburgh.

The successful candidate will have an Honours or Higher degree in Electronics, Electrical Engineering, Physics or related field and ideally 1-2 years’ experience in a related manufacturing environment. You should be familiar with system-on-chip components, automated test equipment, semiconductor test techniques and structured programming in C++ or a similar language. Candidates should have a strong academic ability and be self-driven; eager to learn and explore new solutions. You must be a team focused player with good communication and interpersonal skills capable of working in collaboration with colleagues locally and in the wider design, engineering and production communities within the Imaging Division.

As Product Test Engineer, you will participate as a team member in the following activities :

- Developing new product test specifications in collaboration with the design and characterisation and validation teams, both locally and remotely.

- Designing, debugging, and correlating test hardware and software

- Designing interface and measurement circuits to make tester capabilities compatible with product definitions.

- Measuring critical product parameters on the ATE (automatic test equipment) or in the Lab over different device conditions

- Analyze measurement results and correlate to simulation results and measurement results from different setups (ATE to Lab correlation)

- Running different qualification tests

- Providing product development support, which involves interfacing with design, characterisation, module and quality engineering

- Working on cost reduction and yield enhancement projects working in collaboration with the manufacturing team in the Far East

Key Skills & Experience:

- Honours degree, electronics, electrical engineering, physics or related field

- Working knowledge of semiconductor devices, silicon products and device measurement

- Knowledge of Automated test equipment, test methods and techniques

- Demonstrable skills in programming, in a high-level language

- Experienced in use of statistical analysis techniques (preferably in JMP for data analysis and reporting

Additional Skills & Experience:

- C/C++/Python programming experience

- Post graduate qualification in related field.

- Previous product characterisation or product qualification experience is preferable

- Familiar with high volume product testing

- Understanding of calibration, accuracy, repeatability and measurement traceability

- Understanding of optics

- French language skills would be an advantage.
