eFX Unix System Administrator / London/ 6 Months Contract / Up To £495 Per Day

System administrator required to work within a global FX Algorithmic Trading Technology team across a range of deliverables, including pricing models, execution and market making algorithms. These deliverables will be a blend of new Greenfield development and modifications to the existing trading infrastructure.

The ideal candidate is someone who collaborates effectively within a global team and is also responsive to customer needs. They have experience in the design and build of Unix systems and experience of infrastructure deployment.

Essential Skills

           Bash scripting.

           Candidate must be a dependable team player with excellent communication skills.

           Knowledge of contemporary development processes, build environments and testing tools.

           Comfortable in communicating with users.

Desired Skills

           Experience working with global development teams.

           Experience in TCP/IP networking and sockets programming.

           Unix kernel tuning knowledge.

           Understanding of low latency system design and maintenance.
