Technical Architect - SOA, n-tier applications, C# ASP.NET MVC, JavaScript, HTML5, Open Source, NoSQL

Stoke on Trent, North Staffordshire so commutable within 45 minutes from the likes of Crewe, Northwich, Knutsford, Sandbach, Congleton, Macclesfield, Derby, Ashbourne, Burton, Stafford, Cannock and Telford.

A multiple award-winning firm have a new opening within their 20-person Development Team for an Architect to undertake major projects, including substantial builds on top of already-successful products. You will be delivering enterprise-scale solutions using the latest Microsoft kit, as well as investigating Open Source and NoSQL technologies. You'll be designing n-tier applications which are consumed across desktop, mobile and tablet so there's plenty of variety and a structured career growth plan, too. This firm value IT so invest significantly in technology.

As a Technical Architect you will be part of a wider Architect community. You will work at a detailed code level - this isn't a strategic, ivory tower role - so will bring a real depth of development experience with C#, ASP.NET, MVC, JavaScript, jQuery, HTML5 and CSS3.

In addition you will be a mentor, trainer and educator to the Development Team.

This company adopt a pragmatic approach to development and aren't tied to one particular way or method of working - as Architect you will bring an open-minded approach and be an advocate of delivering simple, scalable code. You may well have experience of software design patterns and architectural principles such as Gang of Four (GoF) and SOA.

This company have been delivering hugely successful software platforms though, having said that, there are still improvements to be made so as an Architect you'll be investigating coding standards and improving QA processes too.

You will be delivering within an environment which isn't corporate and bound by red tape. Technology decisions are able to be made very quickly and effectively!
