Application Support - Trade Support Analyst - UNIX

My client are a trading platform based in London

A Physics or Maths or Electronics Engineering masters (MSc) or doctor of philosophy (PhD) candidate is sought to join the front office team of this major global provider of financial markets trading software and use their problem solving and analytical skills and Unix / Linux knowledge to keep their high profile trading systems working at optimal performance.

If you have an educational background in hard science such as Physics or Maths or Electronics Engineering and good basic Unix / Linux operating systems experience this could be an exciting, challenging, well-paid and prestigious job for you.

KEY SKILLS REQUIRED from the Application Support - Trade Support Analyst - UNIX

- Physics or Maths or Electronics Engineering BSc, MSc or PhD

- Good basic Unix or Linux skills (Ubuntu is a big plus)

REQUIREMENTS of the Application Support - Trade Support Analyst - UNIX

- Excellent problem solving and analytical skills

- An ability to think both on your feet and also keep an eye on the long-term strategy

- An interest in the financial markets / Investment Banking / financial trading

WHAT IS INVOLVED in the Application Support - Trade Support Analyst - UNIX

- Working in the front office with the traders and quantitative analysts, their clients and the software development team

- Extensive training in the Investment Banking sector and how their financial markets trading products work
