As a DevOps Analyst, your primary role will be to assist our clients growing software development teams and to manage customer's proof of concept environments which will include big data platforms and user interface written in C#. As our client do most of their deployments on Amazon's AWS they'll make sure that you become a Cloud Guru - and if you don't know python, they'll teach you!

Responsibilities

*Setting up and managing cloud-based hardware environments including Windows and Ubuntu.

*Setting up and using automated deployment tools to deploy company software

*Monitoring big data environments during customer trials and for customers who have production system in the cloud.

*Dealing with product and technical queries (pre and post sales) from the support and account management teams and involving other team members to help answer the more technical queries

*Working closely with the software development team on Agile engineering projects

Your skills and experience will include:

Essential

*IT, Software Engineering, Computer Science degree or similar

*Understanding of computer hardware

*Experience and understanding of Linux and Windows Servers

*Demonstrate an intellectual curiosity beyond your technical comfort zone with the ability to solve problems logically and analytically

*Naturally curious, passionate and excited by new technology

*Preferably experience and/or knowledge of server virtualisation - Hyper-V or VMWare

*Understanding of cloud computing (training will however be provided)
