Great Britain’s gambling industry is in a constant state of change, fuelled by shifting consumer behaviour and the rapid growth of technology. It’s high profile politically too, and the legislation controlling gambling is constantly under scrutiny. Within this uniquely challenging and evolving environment, Our client’s role is to ensure that gambling is crime free, fair and open - and that children and vulnerable people are protected.
They are now seeking an IT Trainer to join their team in Birmingham.
This is a fantastic opportunity for an IT training professional with experience across the entire training spectrum to take their career to the next level with the one of the UK’s top regulatory bodies.
As an IT Trainer, you will be tasked with delivering effective training programmes and reference material to enable colleagues to develop the appropriate skills to complete various technical, systems and process tasks.
Operating as part of the HR Team, you will report to the Learning and Development Manager and ensure that training activities support the wider learning and development strategy.
Managing an evolving workload, you will adapt your strategy and approach as priorities change, seeking to provide expert level advice and guidance to all business areas and defining system training and key outcomes.
You will work with Managers across the organisation to conduct detailed training needs analysis and will carry out performance assessment to determine skills gaps. Designing and developing formal and informal activities and materials to develop skills, you will support and coach colleagues throughout and beyond development activity.
Additionally, your tasks with include:
- Evaluating the effectiveness of development activities and learning outcomes
- Maintaining learning and development records
- Ensuring the adoption of newly developed learning and development systems and enhanced existing systems
To be considered for this role, you must have:
- Proven experience within an IT training position
- Experience of identifying IT training requirements and designing and delivering solutions to meet those needs
- Proven experience in training delivery and presentation
- Experience of maintaining course materials, including online training
- Experience of designing and delivering training packages for common IT applications and systems including:- Microsoft Office software, CRM systems, data visualisation systems and HR systems
The ideal IT Trainer will also possess a training qualification or relevant experience, however this is by no means essential.
