Broadband Tech Team Lead

Our Broadband Tech Experts bring our pioneering products and services to life. Join the UK's leading telecommunications company as a Tech Team Lead, and you'll manage and develop a team of Broadband Tech Experts, who optimise and enhance our customers' home entertainment experience.

The role

Your team's mission will be to connect, integrate and optimise our customers' technology, to maximise broadband and Wi-Fi connectivity in the home. As their Tech Team Lead, your support and coaching will ensure they're equipped with everything they need to bring technology to life.

You'll ensure your team keep abreast of changes in technology, and you'll encourage them to try and share new things, to ensure they provide a top quality service. Through effective performance management and coaching, you'll drive continuous improvement so every customer receives a fully optimised Sky experience, every time.

Your skills

You'll have a strong technical background, having previously worked in a telecoms, engineering, IT or technical support role. You'll also have an understanding of networking and some previous management experience. All of this would have given you a passion to get your hands on all the latest innovations and a natural curiosity for how things work.

Whilst having experience in building, developing, coaching and inspiring teams in a customer-focused environment. You'll be resilient, flexible, and an innovative thinker, who is accountable, ready to make decisions, and driven to ensure all core operational KPIs are met.

You'll know all about devices and technology used in the home - what they do, how they interface with Wi-Fi and Broadband, and how to get the most out of them. You'll always be on the look-out for what's next in the industry, and identifying ways to improve the way we do things.

Our Tech Team Leads work five days a week, including mornings, evenings and/or weekends, so you'll be flexible with working hours. You'll have a valid driving licence (with no more than six points); you'll successfully complete medical and criminal records checks; and you should live within a commutable distance from the team area.
