ETL Developer - ETL, SQL Server, SSIS, DW, data warehouse - 3 months - Immediate Start - Glasgow - Up to £400 per day

The Company

Spring Technology's client, a trusted organisation based in Glasgow, is looking for an experienced ETL Developer to join them on an initial 3 month contract to help out with several key development projects.

The Role: ETL Developer

As a successful ETL Developer, you will help in the design and building of data warehouse solutions and associated ETL packages.

Responsibilities include:

*Providing development consultancy and expertise across entire data warehouse projects

*Advising on data modelling and assisting with data warehouse design

*Supporting and maintaining SQL Server environments

*Creating software to assist in the populating of the data warehouse

*Tuning data warehouse performance

*Building a reports function to gather and relay key information and statistics

*Executing and supporting testing activities

*Promoting continuous improvement exercises

Essential skills and experience will include:

*Extensive experience as an ETL / data warehouse Developer and working with large data sets

*Extensive experience in SQL Server 2012, SSIS, SSRS and SSAS

*Coding and developing with T-SQL

*Demonstrable experience in data warehouse design, Kimball methodology, support, best practice and unit testing

Desirable skills

*Development skills In Cognos

*Process improvement experience
